Day 1
We ended Genesis 24, and now we are starting Genesis 25! In preparation for the lessons to come, let’s read all of Genesis 25 to your Tiny Arrows!
Day 2
After Sarah died, Abraham remarried a woman named Keturah. Some Rabbi’s even think it was Hagar! Today let’s read Genesis 25:1 and color the coloring page!
Abraham had taken another wife, whose name was Keturah. – Genesis 25:1 NIV
Day 3
Abraham had 6 sons with his new wife Keturah! Today let’s read Genesis 25:2 and color the coloring page!
She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. – Genesis 25:2 NIV
Day 4
Abraham and Keturah’s second son, Jokshan had two sons: Sheba and Dedan. The descendants of Dedan were the Ashurites, the Letushites and the Leummites. Today let’s read Genesis 25:3 and grab 6 characters/animals to represent each name and go through them, showing who descends from whom.

Day 5
Abraham and Keturah’s fourth son Midian had 5 sons: Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah. Today let’s read Genesis 25:4 and ask your Tiny Arrow if they can think of anyone important in the Bible who comes from the land of Midian. Jethro, Moses’ father in law and Zipporah his wife!

Day 6
Abraham and Keturah had 6 sons and 7 grandsons and 3 descendants. Today let’s read Genesis 25:4 and grab something to count and ask your Tiny Arrow to count how many children came from Keturah by adding the first numbers up!

Day 7
We learned that Abraham remarried and had 6 more sons. Adding Ishmael and Isaac, Abraham had 8 sons! Even though Abraham had 8 sons, he left everything he owned to Isaac! The promised son! He gave him his property, animals and wealth! Even though he gave everything to Isaac, he also gave each of his other sons gifts! Today let’s read Genesis 25:5 and color the coloring page. Then draw a line to what every son received!
When Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac. But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines. – Genesis 25:5-6 NIV
Day 8
Abraham gave his other sons gifts, then sent them away from where Isaac lived, away from Israel! Today let’s read Genesis 25:6 and cut and paste Abraham’s other sons East of Israel!
And sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east. – Genesis 25:6 NIV
Day 9
Abraham lived a total of 175 years! That’s so many birthdays! Today let’s read Genesis 25:7 and let’s compare how old your Tiny Arrows are to how old Abraham was. Then tell them the difference and say they would need that many more Happy Birthdays to be the same age!

Day 10
After Abraham turned 175 years old he died. The Bible says he died at a good old age and was gathered to his people. Today let’s read Genesis 25:8 and ask your Tiny Arrow what things they remembered about Abraham and why he is so important in the Bible!
Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. – Genesis 25:8 NIV
Day 11
Abraham was buried with Sarah in the cave of Machpelah. The cave of the patriarchs! Today let’s read Genesis 25:9-10 and color the coloring page!
His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of a Zohar the Hittite, the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. – Genesis 25:9-10 NIV
Day 12
After Abraham died, God blessed Isaac! Isaac was still living near Beer Lahai Roi, the place Hagar named the well the Living One who sees me. Today let’s read Genesis 25:11 and have your Tiny Arrows help you pick a spot in your house to represent Beer Lahai Roi. Then grab something that would bless them, a treat, their favorite toy, etc. and place it in that spot; explaining that Isaac was blessed by God!
After Abraham‘s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi. – Genesis 25:11 NIV
Day 13
Abraham’s first son, Ishmael, had children too! God had told Hagar that he would increase her descendants and He did! Today let’s read Genesis 25:12 and 16:9-10 then grab a handful of cereal, or something small. Take the first piece and place it in front of your Tiny Arrow calling it Abraham, then place the second piece down, calling it Ishmael. Then say that God was going to give Ishmael a lot of descendants too and place the rest of the cereal next to Ishmael’s piece!
This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Ishmael, whom Sarah’s slave, Hagar the Egyptian, bore to Abraham. – Genesis 25:12 NIV
Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” – Genesis 16:9-10
Day 14
Ishmael had 12 sons! Each son became a tribal ruler! Today let’s read Genesis 25:13-16 and grab some chalk! Draw 12 circles or squares and a person inside each shape. Then name each person one of Ishmael’s sons name and tell your Tiny Arrow how each shape represents their camp!
These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael, and these are the names of the twelve tribal rulers according to their settlements and camps. – Genesis 25:13-16 NIV
Day 15
Ishmael lived to be a 137 years old. He died 48 years after Abraham died. Today let’s read Genesis 25:17 and ask your Tiny Arrow what they can remember about Ishmael!
Ishmael lived a hundred and thirty-seven years. He breathed his last and died, and he was gathered to his people. – Genesis 25:17 NIV
Day 16
Ishmael’s descendants lived east of Egypt. All the tribes related to him did not get along! Today let’s read Genesis 25:18 and color the coloring page and make 12 squares to represent the 12 tribes from Shur to Havilah!
His descendants settled in the area from Havilah to Shur near the eastern border of Egypt, as you go toward Ashur. And they lived in hostility toward all the tribes related to them. – Genesis 25:18 NIV
You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” – Genesis 16:11-12
Day 17
We are starting to focus on Isaac now! Today let’s read Genesis 25:19-20 and color the coloring page that introduces Isaac and Rebekah!
Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac, and Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of the Laban the Aramean. – Genesis 25:19-20 NIV
Day 18
Isaac and Rebekah wanted to have a baby, but had not gotten pregnant yet! So Isaac prayed for Rebekah and she got pregnant! Today let’s read Genesis 25:21 and pray for those we know who want to get pregnant and thank God for all the babies in our lives!
Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. – Genesis 25:21 NIV
Day 19
Rebekah is pregnant! Not only is she pregnant but she can feel a lot of movement, like pushing and shoving! She did not know what was going on, so she asked God! Today let’s read Genesis 25:22 and grab a large blanket. Let you and your Tiny Arrow get into the blanket, like it is Rebekah’s womb. Then move around the small space and talk about how odd it must have felt for Rebekah!
The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. – Genesis 25:22 NIV
Day 20
When Rebekah prayed about the babies, the Lord told her there were two nations in womb! Two leaders! And the older would serve the younger! Today let’s read Genesis 25:23 and ask your Tiny Arrow which nations they think the Lord is talking about!
The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger. – Genesis 25:23 NIV
Day 21
Rebekah had her babies! It was two boys! Today let’s read Genesis 25:24 and grab 2 boxes and 2 blue things. Let your Tiny Arrow open the boxes to see what gender the baby is, then ask they if they know their names!
When the time came for her to give birth, there were twins boys in her womb. – Genesis 25:24 NIV
Day 22
Rebekah was having her babies, Esau came out first and he was all red! Today let’s read Genesis 25:25 and color Esau red!
The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. – Genesis 25:25 NIV
Day 23
After Esau was born, Jacob was born grasping his heel! Today let’s read Genesis 25:26 and, if able, try to move your Tiny Arrow around while they are grasping your heel! Just like Jacob did!
After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so they named him Jacob. – Genesis 25:26 NIV
Day 24
Abraham’s was 100 when he had Isaac, and Isaac was 60 when he had Esau and Jacob! Today let’s read Genesis 25:26 and use the coloring page to see which number is more!
Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them. – Genesis 25:26 NIV
Day 25
When Esau grew up, he became a skillful hunter! Today let’s read Genesis 25:27 and grab a stuffed animal. Hide the stuffed animal and encourage your Tiny Arrow to find it!
The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country. – Genesis 25:27 NIV
Day 26
Esau was a hunter and Jacob like to stay home among the tents! Today let’s read Genesis 25:27 and make a tent!
While Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents. – Genesis 25:27 NIV
Day 27
We learned that Esau loved the outdoors and Jacob liked to stay among the tents. Now we will learn that Isaac loved Esau and Rebekah loved Jacob! Today let’s read Genesis 25:28 and color the coloring page!
Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob. – Genesis 25:28 NIV
Day 28
One day Jacob was helping around the tents, and he was making stew! Today let’s read Genesis 25:29 and have your Tiny Arrow help you with a chore around the house!

Day 29
After Jacob made stew, his brother came in and wanted some! He was so hungry! Today let’s read Genesis 25:29-30 and make some lentil stew, or look up pictures of what it looks like!
Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.) – Genesis 25:29-30 NIV
Day 30
Jacob did not want to just give Esau some stew, he wanted something in return. He wanted his birthright. He wanted to live up to his father’s name and character! Today let’s read Genesis 25:31-32 and have your Tiny Arrows tell you some things they want to be, just like their father!
Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is a birthright to me?” – Genesis 25:31-32 NIV
Day 31
Esau gave his birthright to Jacob, and Jacob gave him some stew and bread. Today let’s read Genesis 25:33-34 and play swap! Grab some items, toys, snacks, etc., and after giving each person a little bit, swap what you have with each other so you get something different!
But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright. – Genesis 25:33-34 NIV
Day 36
Today let’s reread Genesis 25 and remember the activities and verses we learned!
